Every year, on 5th December, the day is recognised as World Soil Day. Several international institutions, including the UN-affiliated Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), commemorate this day. Stopping soil salinisation and increasing soil productivity are the goals of this yearβs World Soil Day. To commemorate this occasion, World Soil Day was celebrated enthusiastically on Monday, 5th December 2022 at Aditya English medium school (AEMS), Pune. A video clip was shown to the students of STD 1 to STD 10 as a means to focus on importance of healthy soil and advocate management of soil resources.
