Today a special assembly was organized at AEMS, Sus, to celebrate Sankranti, Pongal, Lohri, and Black and White Day with great enthusiasm and joy. The school campus came alive as students and staff gathered to embrace the spirit of these traditional and thematic celebrations.
The students arrived dressed in elegant black and white attire, adding charm to the occasion. The assembly began with a brief introduction to the significance of Sankranti, Pongal, and Lohri, highlighting the cultural diversity of India.
The celebration included various Sankranti and Black and White Day-related activities. The students participated enthusiastically in these activities, showcasing their creativity and understanding of the themes. A special highlight of the event was the kite-flying activity, where the students and teachers joyfully flew colorful kites, symbolizing the spirit of Sankranti.
As part of the festivities, each student received tilgul (sesame and jaggery sweets), which they exchanged with their friends, spreading the message of friendship and goodwill. The tradition of sharing tilgul reinforced the values of harmony and kindness among the children.
