Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti 2025 was celebrated with great honour and enthusiasm at AEMS

The Shiv Jayanti celebration at Aditya English Medium School was a grand and inspiring event that paid tribute to the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The day began with students arriving in traditional Marathi attire, adding to the festive atmosphere. Some students were dressed as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajmata Jijabai, Saibai, and Mavale, representing key figures from Shivaji’s life. These students were warmly welcomed by all, creating a regal ambiance for the celebration.
A special assembly was held, where Shivaji Maharaj’s biography and his remarkable journey of establishing Swaraj were narrated. The highlight of the event was a role-play performance depicting a pivotal moment from Shivaji’s life: Rajmata Jijabai offering the Bhavani Talwar to her son, Shivaji Maharaj, symbolizing his future as a great warrior and leader. This act captivated everyone and emphasized Shivaji’s values of courage, honor, and dedication to his people.
In special assembly, a detailed biography of Shivaji Maharaj was presented. The story of how he established Swaraj and his remarkable leadership was narrated to the students. This was followed by a small quiz based on his life, which saw enthusiastic participation from the students and enhanced their knowledge of the great Maratha warrior.
To honor Shivaji Maharaj, the assembly also featured a powerful rendition of “Shivgarjana” as a tribute to his courage and vision. Students collectively worshiped Shivaji Maharaj by offering flowers, prayers, and performing “Mujara,” a traditional gesture of respect.
Back in their classrooms, teachers showcased a movie on Shivaji Maharaj’s life, giving students a deeper understanding of his achievements and struggles. The students danced to folk songs associated with his legacy.
The celebration ended on a high note, with students and staff alike feeling inspired by the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and filled with pride in their cultural heritage. Overall, the event was a fitting tribute to one of India’s greatest leaders and left a lasting impression on everyone present.
